Salvatore G. Gangemi represents employees and employers in employment law matters, including employment discrimination, discharge, harassment, disparate treatment, family leave, severance pay issues, non-compete and trade secret agreements, and related matters. Sal is experienced in litigating, arbitrating and mediating all types of legal disputes before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitral forums. Sal also advises on preventative counseling by assisting employers in developing and implementing employment practices and policies, and advising them on issues that arise on a day-to-day basis. Sal has authored articles and chapters on employment law issues and teaches a continuing legal education course on employment law at St. John's University School of Law.

Prior to joining OP as of counsel, Sal was a founding member of Gangemi, Mango & Iacoviello, LLP, where he headed the firm's labor and employment practice. Prior to that he was an associate in the New York offices of Vedder, Price, Kaufman & Kammholz, P.C., where he handled commercial, insurance, professional liability and employment litigation.

In 1993, Sal earned his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law where he served as senior member of the St. John's Law Review as well as executive articles editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. In 1990, he earned a B.A. in Government and Politics from St. John's University.

Sal was admitted to the bar of New York in 1994. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
